For client's interested in custom built homes, we use six proven phases that will ensure success.

Phase 1 - Orientation and Introduction to the Team
Meet our enthusiastic team and share your vision. Hearing details and seeing pictures of your perfect kitchen, luxury soaker tub, and other special details on your new home will help us determine the best way to proceed. Spending the time in the beginning of the process will reduce the need for costly and time consuming changes during construction.

Phase 2 - Home Design
Buchmann Built has a library of plans to review if the 'spec plan' is what you are interested in. If a custom plan is what you need, an architect will work with you to create a plan with your own design input and specifications to suit your needs and taste.

Once the preliminary plans are created, a specification list is created and an itemized budget will be created to cost out the home according to your specifications. The next step is to make the appropriate changes to further meet your needs and budget. Once satisfied, all documentation is presented to you for your approval.

Phase 3 - Tidy up Cost Estimation and Contract
The Contract along with a detailed Building Specification Sheet and cost estimation is finalized prior to start of construction.

Phase 4 - Select optional features, colours & materials
Now the fun part! This is the exciting phase when you make your house your home. We offer end to end design services and can help you with anything from colour and material choices, all the way to a fully furnished and decorated show home! You decide how much help you need.

Phase 5 - The build begins!
Our team works together closely to ensure compliance with the plan and specifications. We understand the importance of communication and inspection; therefore, we suggest five client meetings at specific times during the construction process to review the work completed to date.

Demolition and Excavation Meeting
Prior to breaking ground, our team will review the schedule, and verify selections made for your home. If you have anything truly custom in your mind, its best to communicate it now, so our team can make the necessary arrangements to make it happen. Validating your selections allows our team to plan ahead of time to anticipate any special ordered items are available at time of installation.

Framing Meeting
Once the primary framing is complete, we would like to review the electrical and plumbing layouts with you. We also walkthrough each room and review the type finishing now that you can physically walk in and visualize. During this walkthrough we like to orient you will the little details along the way Buchmann Built incorporates into each one of our homes. The framing meeting is intended to give you the opportunity to walk around your home and make sure it's everything you hoped it would be.

Cabinetry and Interior Feature Meeting
In this meeting, we will spend time collaborating on cabinet design and layout, fireplace design and facing, closet organizers, and the use of storage and entertainment built-ins throughout the home. If you have special sized appliances in mind for your home, it's handy to bring the dimensions so we can provision for it.

Progress Meeting
About two weeks prior to completion we invite you to inspect your home and make a list of deficiencies and incomplete work. The list is formalized by signing it at the completion of the walk-through. The last two weeks will give our team work on the list and fine tune your home prior to move in.

New Home Orientation Meeting
Before you move in, we like to orient you with the ins and out of your new home. Along with the instruction manuals and warranty information, we like to give tips on the areas that require maintenance for a long lasting home. Also, we provide the appropriate support information in the event you need to use our service program.
