What is a National Home Warranty?

National Home Warranty is a comprehensive third party warranty covering Western Canada. At law, builders must provide a third party warranty covering:

• A one year warranty against defects in materials and labour.
• A two year warranty against defects in major systems in your home, the exterior cladding and the Building Code.
• A five year warranty for any building envelope defects.
• If you are required to move out of your home while repairs are being made, the National will cover your reasonable expenses to a maximum of $100 a day.
• Maximum protection available to you is $200,000.
